Pulse of Life Scholarship
A bold national initiative providing full scholarships in rare and critical medical and health-science fields to strengthen Palestine’s healthcare system.
About the program
Pulse of Life is a bold national initiative to provide 1,000 full scholarships in medicine and the health sciences to Palestinian students inside and outside Palestine — with a focus on rare and critical specialisations — over a five-year period.
Why Pulse of Life?
Shortage of Medical Personnel
A critical shortage of qualified medical and healthcare professionals limits service delivery and the quality of care.
Shortage of Specialists
The local system lacks specialists in key medical fields, straining the Ministry of Health and limiting advanced care.
Limited Hospital Capacity
Too few hospital beds and resources delay care, raising mortality and overwhelming facilities.
Poor Infrastructure
Many medical devices are out of service and essential resources to run facilities are missing.
Impact of the Occupation
Since 2023, ongoing attacks have destroyed healthcare facilities and cut the system’s capacity.
